25 years ago Angela and I met these two cheeky boys on our way to Ibiza and so began a friendship cemented by a love of great music.

This track from summer 99 is so full of joy, so it feels right to choose as a tribute to a human who spilled over with joy and warmth and soul. It’s the sound of London sunshine, good times, laughter - when I hear it I can see him behind the decks, with that beautiful smile.

I remember us hearing it a few years later as we drove down to that legendary Big Chill Festival in 2003 , windows down , playing it loud.

I have chosen this song because It reminds me of Rich he always had a smile on his face.

It was the first dance at our wedding that Lee Dagger was supposed to play but he played the 12 inch instrumental version by mistake and we were dancing around waiting ages for the vocal to start…

We share many memories together from our boys primary school days to our moonshot family time, you always showed great support to both our sons and gave great encouragement.

It does make me chuckle to think; what does a Northern tyke like myself, have in common with a cool, well-educated, and well-read fella like Rich... Well, a love and passion of music.
